Dr. K. Kumutha, has 27 years of Teaching and Research Experience under the Umbrella of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU). She has specilized in Arbuscular Mycorrhiza- Plant Association, in vitro inoculum production and formulation of AM fungi, Interaction of AMF with other bioinoculants, Formulation of various biofertilizers. She has developed the biofertilizer package for various crops and involved in various outreach programmes. Developed the concentrated powder formulations of various biofertilizers and gave recommendation for application to Pulses, Sugarcane and Paddy. Operated the research projects funded by various Government as well as private funding agencies. Established the Mycorrhiza production laboratory in the Department of Agricultural Microbiology. She has guided 15 Post graduate research scholars in the field of Agricultural Microbiology and published 2 books and 80research papers in peer reviewed journals.
