Prof. Kelmani Chandrakanth R, is currently working as a Professor at department of Biotechnology, Gulbarga University, Kalaburagi. He earned his Ph.D in Microbiology from Gulbarga University, Kalaburagi in 1991. Later he has joined at SJR College, Bangalore. Since from 1998 he has been faculty of Biotechnology, GUK. He is recipient of Sir.C.V. Raman Young  Scientist’s  State  award  obtained from Government of Karnataka-India. Awarded DBT overseas Biotechnology Assoicateship in the year 2009 obtained higher training at Centre for Advanced Research in Biotechnology, University of Maryland Biotechnology Institute (UMBI) Rockville, Maryland USA. He has guided 15 Ph.D and 9 M.Phil students. He is actively involved in academic and research. His specialization area of interest is Medical biotechnology and Phage therapy. He has published more than 85 research articles in international and national Journals of repute. He also authored 4 reputed texts book on Microbiology.
