Dr. Kanakala Jayaram is serving as an Assistant Professor in Education at the Centre for Distance and Online Education (Previously School of Distance Education), Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Post-graduated in Zoology, Psychology, and Education, he did research in Education and obtained M.Phil. and Ph.D. degrees. He is qualified in UGC-NET, APSET, and the Screening Test for Assistant Professors in Education. His areas of teaching are Research Methodology, Educational Psychology, and Pedagogy of Biology.   He has rich experience for more than 21 years in teaching Diplomas in Education, B.Ed., M.Ed., and M.A. (Edn.) courses. Besides regular teaching and administrative work, he serves as a research supervisor and resource person for post-graduates in Education at IGNOU and Andhra University. He trains student teachers for competitive exams like TET and Teacher Recruitment Tests. He is the Editor, Lesson Writer, Lesson Translator, Academic Counsellor, and Coordinator for prestigious educational organizations like Andhra University, SCERT of Govt. of Andhra Pradesh, National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) and Swayam Portal of MHRD, Govt. of India. As a teacher educator, he has participated in and presented papers in many national and international seminars, workshops, conferences, and Faculty Development Programmes. He has published many articles and research papers in journals of national and international repute. He is one of the Authors of many B.Ed. and DSC books published by Telugu and Sanskrti Akademi, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh.   He served as a Core-Committee Member in conducting AP Ed.CET State Level Entrance Examinations and also member in many confidential works.
