Dr. Sabina Begum is an Associate Professor of Philosophy in Gushkara Mahavidyalaya, Purba Bardhaman, West Bengal. She has done her Masters and M.Phil. in Philosophy from the University of Burdwan, Purba Bardhaman, and Ph.D from Lifelong Learning & Extension (REC) under Palli Samgathana Vibhaga, Visva Bharati. The area of her research work is on women  empowerment   in   changing   society. She has  several publications related to the issues of women empowerment and development in edited books, national and international journals. Gender Studies, Applied Ethics and Analytical Philosophy are her major areas of interest.
