Dr. (Prof.) Mohd. Asif Gandhi obtained his Bachelor of Engineering degree in its Production Engineering branch from M. H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering, Mumbai, India. Later he obtained his Master of Engineering degree in its Production Engineering branch with specialization in Manufacturing Engineering from Fr. Conceicao Rodrigues College of Engineering which is affiliated to Mumbai University. He worked in the industry for ten years in various capacities ranging from Purchase Officer, Merchandiser, Purchase Executive, Technical Officer-Planning and Purchase, Executive - Manufacturing and Logistics, Executive - Production Planning and Control. During his tenure in the industry he worked with various firms namely Steelage Industries Limited, CPEC Limited, Mahindra Ugine Steel Company Limited, Pohomal Exports, Pan Herbo Limited, Siemens Limited and Accurate Electrical Works. Subsequently he joined academics where he worked in various capacities from Lecturer - Mechanical Engineering, Lecturer - Fabrication Technology & Erection Engineering, Assistant Professor - Mechanical Engineering. His academic career spans over fifteen years to date during which he worked with Agnel Polytechnic at Vashi in Navi Mumbai, India; and Anjuman-I-Islam’s Kalsekar Technical Campus, School of Engineering and Technology at New Panvel, India. He obtained his Ph.D in Industrial Engineering from NITIE, Mumbai, India from its Department of Operations and Supply Chain Management. His research interests include Green Supply Chain Practices; and Green Supply Chain Performance; Green Manufacturing, and Green Buildings. He is always interested in learning, updating and upgrading himself. Accordingly he has several certifications to his credit namely Supply Chain Analytics, Advanced Green Manufacturing Systems, Product Design and Development, Business Statistics, Work System Design, Ergonomics in Automobile Design, Ergonomics Workplace Analysis. Apart from his interest in academics he is also an enthusiastic Triathlete.
