Dr. Mrittunjoy Guha Majumdar is a senior postdoctoral researcher at the Centre for Ex- cellence in Quantum Technology, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore and a post- doctoral associate of Prof. Brian Josephson (Nobel Laureate in Physics, 1973) at the Uni- versity of Cambridge. He completed his PhD from Cavendish Laboratory, University of Cambridge. His area of specialisation has been in Entanglement, Quantum Information and Foundations of Quantum Mechanics. He has pursued research in various institutions of eminence, such as TIFR, SINP, SSPL (DRDO), IISER (Kolkata), IIT (Guwahati) and Delhi University, and has taught Physics at the University of Cambridge (2016-2018) as well as University of Delhi (2021). He has been into science popularization, with popular science talks delivered on platforms such as Doordarshan, along with being a regular col- umnist for Science India Magazine. His chapter on Acharya Jagadish Chandra Bose as a revolutionary against the hegemony of occidental thought was published in the book Struggle For Swatantrata Through Science' that was released by the Government of India to mark 75 years of India's independence. Dr. Guha Majumdar has also contributed to the area of science policy and diplomacy, with organizations such as the Cambridge University Science and Policy Exchange (CUSPE). He has represented India at international summits, such as the ASEAN Youth Science Summit, and has been showcased by UNESCO in their documentary for the Global Convention on Higher Education in 2019. He has also previ- ously worked with the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India to look at innovative ways to improve teaching and learning in school education. He is a four-time elected Student Union leader of Cambridge University, including having been Chair of Executive Committee and Vice-President of the Graduate Union in 2019, and is associated with various social organizations, such as Pratham and Save a Child's Heart. He led the formulation and launch of the NGO-UNESCO Position Paper on Youth and Advo- cacy 2021, having been selected from among 60 international youth leaders from various NGOs around the world as the lead by the NGO-UNESCO Liaison Committee.
