Dr. Haris Parengal, Director, Centre for Tropical Biodiversity conservation. Haris Parengal (born on 7 March 1988) is an Indian biotechnologist and an administrator; he is leading and renowned for his research in Microbial interactions. Dr. Haris P is the founder Director of CTBC as of 2017. Prior to that, he had held research positions with the Kerala Agricultural University and Gandhigram Rural University. He also worked as a Research Fellow with several national and international research organizations, including the United Nations Development Programme and Central Institute of Fisheries Technology (CIFT, Govt. of India). He served many reputed international journals and articles as an editorial and reviewer. Published several books nationally and internationally, Moreover He has the instrumental behind many of the movements related to environmental Issues and concerns. He has deposited many of the novel organisms in national and international depository facilities. He has awarded Ph.D. in Plant-Microbe Interactions from Gandhigram Rural University, Under MHRD, and Govt. of India.
