Dr. Pinki Purkayastha is a researcher in the interdisciplinary field of nature, culture and ecology. She is Co-Founder and Director General of the Center for research in ecology, environment, and sustainability science (www.creess.org), All India Vice President of Surnandan Bharati, Kolkata (surnandanbharati.org/), and Faculty of Environment in Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University Delhi (aud.delhi.gov.in/). She has authored 5 books, and has more than 30 publications in scientific journals, newspapers, and magazines of national and international repute. Being a professional lyricist, she has more than 30 music albums released by a Delhi-based music company, Moxx Music. She is also a reputed member of the Indian Performing Right Society Ltd. (IPRS) (https://iprs.org/), chaired by Mr. Javed Akhtar Ji, the celebrity lyricist of the Hindi film industry.
