Dr. Soma Prathibha is presently working as Professor in the department of Information Technology ,Sri Sai Ram Engineering College, Chennai.She completed her Bachelors in Computer Science and Engineering from Gulbarga University in 1997,Masters from Sathyabama University in 2008 and Ph.D Degree in Computer Science from Anna University in 2019 .She has more than 21 years of teaching and research experience. She has published 75 research papers in various National and International Journals and Conferences. She has secured NPTEL Top 1% Scorer in “Cloud Computing” Course in April 2017 Examination. She was the Team Lead for “Sai Sthree Vidhya Abhiyan” which received AICTE Lilavaty Award I Runner Award under the Subtheme “ Literacy” in April 2021.She has Received Top Performer award for the year 2019-2020 from SRI SAIRAM ENGINEERING COLLEGE Management. She has Established IEEE Computer Society-Student Branch Chapter in the department of information technology, sri sairam engineering college and is the chapter Advisor of IEEE Computer Society from 2017. She has organized National and International student professional events through IEEE SPAA. She was co-chair for IEEE International Conference on Computing and Communication Technologies. She has acted as the session chair for various International Conferences. She has organised many educational outreach programs for school children. She is the life member of ISTE and Cryptology Research Society of India and also has senior membership in IEEE. Her current area of research includes Data Analytics, Deep Learning and Block chain technologies. She is also serving as Vice chair of IEEE WIE MAS section She has published more than 100+ research papers in various National and international journals and conferences in the domains Cloud computing, Data analytics, Block chain , IoT and Deep learning. She has also given more than 25+ invited talks on technical topics like machine learning, data analytics and web frameworks
