Dr. Yata Praveen Kumar is an accomplished chemist specializing in Bio -Inorganic Chemistry and Medicinal Chemistry. He earned his PhD in Chemistry (Bioinorganic & Inorganic) from Osmania University, Hyderabad, India, in 2015, under the supervision of Prof. S. Satyanarayana. His doctoral research focused on "Ruthenium (II) polypyridyl molecular light switch complexes: synthesis characterization, DNA binding, photocleavage and cytotoxicity studies. Dr. Yata has held various academic positions, including: • Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Osmania University Post Graduation College Mirzapur, Sangareddy, from September 1, 2023, to the present. • Principal (I/c) at Osmania University Post Graduation College Jogipet, Sangareddy, from September 8, 2020, to September 1, 2023. • Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Osmania University Post Graduation College Narsapur, Medak, from October 9, 2015, to September 7, 2020. He also awarded & served as a National Post Doctoral Fellow (SERB – New Delhi NPDF) (2016) in Prof. M.V. Rajasekharan's lab at the University of Hyderabad. He got two best poster awards from various National Conferences. Dr. Yata 's research interests include metal-based drugs, the synthesis of novel metal complexes as anticancer agents, and the development of new ligands. DNA-binding, Antimicrobial studies, and various spectroscopic techniques, Collaboration with various institution like IICT,NIN,CCMB and HCU etc. He has over 25 international research publications and has presented at more than 30 national and international seminars, conferences and workshops. In addition to his PhD, Dr. Yata holds a B.Ed. in Biological Science, an M.Sc. in Bio-inorganic Chemistry and a B.Sc. in Chemistry, all from Osmania University. He has extensive experience in designing and executing complex chemical syntheses and conducting detailed biochemical analyses.
