Dr. Priya Rose T is an Assistant Professor at International School of Photonics, Cochin University of Science and Technology from March 2016. She has completed her MSc (Five year Integrated) degree in Photonics from Cochin University of Science and Technology.  She obtained PhD degree from University of Naples “Federico II”, Naples, Italy, on design and characterization of Photonic quasicrystals from microwave to optical regime. She was a research associate in Light and Matter Physics group of Raman Research Institute, Bangalore for three years where she was involved in studies on intense light-matter interactions. Her research areas include Photonic bandgap materials, metamaterials, ultrafast laser-matter interactions and Laser produced plasma. She is currently supervising/co-supervising six students for their PhD Degree. She is a member of SPIE and a life-member of Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT).
