Dr. Rajesh Kumar is an Associate Professor of Political Science and Head of the School of Social Sciences, Geru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. He has also taught at PG. Department of Political Scicace, Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara fram July 1998 to February 2005 He did his M.A. & M.Phil. in Political Science from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. He was Senior Research Fellow awardee of U.G.C. and obtained his Doctoral Degree in International Relations, from School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University. New Delhi, in Year 2000. He holds a teaching experience of 21 years and 6 months.
He specializes in India's Foreign Policy, South Asian Politics and International Relations. He has

He has attended International Workshop on 'Defence Technology and Eooperative Security In South-Asia (20-29. September, 1998, Shanghal, CHINA), organized by the R.CSS, Colombo, Sri Lanka. He has also attended the Conference of the Alumni of the RCSS Summer Workshop on 'South Asia Facing the New Millennium (September 21-23, 1999) in Colombo, Sri Lanka. He has been a Life member of Indian Political Science Association for over 17 years and a member of International Political Science Association for about 2 years. His chapters have been published in several edited volumes which include his articles published by Palgrave Me Milan, Business Express Publishers and a recently published self authored book titled Indo-American Bilateral Relations by Sage International Publishers in 2020.
