Dr. Krishna Roy (b. 1978), was former an Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Political Science at DhukhulalNibaran Chandra College, Aurangabad, Murshidabad district, West Bengal. She is now presently working as Assistant Professor of Political Science in ShirakoleMahavidhyalaya, South 24 Parganas, Shirakole, Usthi. She has completed her Graduation from Lady Brabourne College (Affiliated to University of Calcutta), Kolkata, and Masters and M.Phill degree in Political Science from University of Calcutta and completed her Ph.D degree from University of North Bengal. Her area of interest focuses on Indian Government and Politics, International Relations and Public Administration. The author has contributed her papers in many national and international conferences and edited books and reputed Journals. This book titled :- Murshidabad: A Bengal District in Transition: Attitude and Participation of the Political Leaders of the District (1950-2008) is the first contribution of the author as a sole author.
