A free-spirit and strong proponent of 'equality' for all, Saanvi Rateria is a 11th Grade student at the Pathways School in Gurugram, India. Growing up reading the works of eminent poets such as Carol Ann Duffy, she often found solace in translating her feelings to words and scribbling them down in her journal. Having been involved in editorial and writing work, Saanvi decided to leverage the skills she had attained through her experiences and weave them together in her personal yet relatable book,”Reflection”. Her feelings of teenagehood oozes out in a series of confessional poems, where she explores a range of issues that teenagers have to grapple with as they navigate their way to adulthood.

 

Saanvi Rateria is also one of the founders of the “LetMeBe” a project that aims to spread awareness on mental health and the stigmas associated with it. She hopes to use the project as a platform for people to speak up about their past and current experiences and to raise awareness about Mental Health.She’s also held seminars in her school regarding her project.Besides juggling between school and her writing adventures, Saanvi also enjoys spending time with animals, painting, dancing, interacting with children and gaining new skills/knowledge. She hopes to make a positive change in her community through her work as an activist and a writer.
