Dr. Santosh Kumar Sethi is working as Head, School of Biotechnology, Gangadhar Meher University, Sambalpur, India. His research is primarily concerned with the bioprospective of microbes, algae, and seaweeds, as well as their genomics and molecular taxonomy in the face of biotic and abiotic stresses. He was awarded with the National Doctoral and Post-Doctoral Fellowships from UGC, CSIR and ICAR Govt of India. Dr. Sethi presently an active life member of Association of Microbiologist of India (AMI). and the Seaweed Research and Utilization Association, India. Dr. Sethi has published his research findings in reputed journals, and several book chapters in edited books and books with national and international repute. Dr. Sethi loves to work with marginal communities at the grass-roots level and facilitate the development of environmental consciousness among the masses through the development of rural entrepreneurship through biofertilizer formulation and mass production. Dr. Sethi has successfully mentored six postgraduate students during their final year dissertation project, one M.Phil. student and supervising two doctoral students
