Dr. Sowmya B. J. is an Associate Professor in the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science at Ramaiah Institute of Technology, where she has been teaching since August 2022. She holds a Ph.D. from Visvesvaraya Technological University, completed in 2021. Her areas of interest include Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, Machine Learning, Internet of Things and Computer Security. She has contributed significantly to research with numerous publications in prestigious journals and has been involved in funded projects focusing on IoT and data analytics for hydroponic farming. Her work has earned recognition in the form of patents and a book on Statistical Programming in R. Dr. Sowmya is also a member of IEEE and has actively participated in various workshops and conferences to advance her field.
