Dr. Sumana Bolar is currently working as Assistant Professor of Sociology at Dr. P.Dayananda Pai-P.Sathisha Pai Government First Grade College, Carstreet, Mangalore, with an impressive teaching career spanning over 14 years. She started her teaching career as Lecturer in Sociology and later she got appointed as Assistant Professor of Sociology. Alongside her academic achievements, she has also demonstrated her versatility by successfully clearing the Karnataka Administrative Service (KAS) examinations, leading to her selection as Deputy Superintendent of Police. She opts for teaching as her interests are inclined towards teaching and research. Dr. Bolar's dedication to her field is evident through her extensive contributions to the realm of counselling. She has presented several research papers on counselling at various national and international conferences, showcasing her expertise and passion for the subject. Her research findings on counselling have provided valuable insights and guidance to professionals in the field. In addition to her teaching and research commitments, Dr. Bolar serves as a resource person for competitive examinations such as the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) and Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) examinations. Her in-depth knowledge and experience make her an invaluable asset in helping aspiring candidates prepare for these challenging examinations. Furthermore, Dr. Bolar holds the position of Director of the Women and Child Welfare Sub-committee of the Indian Red Cross Society in Dakshina Kannada district. This role highlights her commitment to social welfare and showcases her leadership abilities in promoting the well-being of women and children in the community.
