Dr. M. Suman Kumar is currently working as Scientist at the Division of Veterinary Public Health, ICAR-Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Izatnagar, India. Dr Suman heads the Brucella Lab at IVRI and is involved in studies on the epidemiology of brucellosis in India. His research areas also include study of pathogenesis and AMR in Brucella spp. along with the exploration of risk factors associated with occurrence of brucellosis in livestock and pets. Besides work on brucellosis, he is involved in executing projects on One Health being implemented by ILRI, Kenya; DBT, Govt. of India; NCDC, New Delhi and ICAR. He is also involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses of veterinary public health since the last 10 years.
