Basic Information

Dr. Sneha Swarup is an Assistant professor and Head (2018-2021), Department of Geography, S.S.College, Jehanabad (A constituent unit of Magadh University, Bodh Gaya, Bihar). She is also Nodal officer, Digital Library of S.S.College, Jehanabad. She has obtained her B.A. (Honours), Patna Women’s College Patna and M.A. and Ph.D degree from Department of Geography, Patna University, Patna. She has submitted her Ph.D. Thesis on the topic “Problems of Solid Waste Disposal and Strategy for Its Management: A Case Study Of Patna (M. Corp.). She has a teaching experience of four years in degree college at Department of Geography, S.S.College, Jehanabad ( A constituent unit of Magadh University, Bodh Gaya, Bihar). She is actively engaged in writing research papers which have been presented in conferences and seminars and also published in journals. She has specialisation in Urban Geography and Solid Waste Management. Her areas of research are solid waste management-its Generation, Collection, Transportation and Final Treatment Methodologies, Environmental Issues-origin of threat and its sustainable solutions. She was the secretary of Geographical Society of Patna College during 2009-2010. She is Life Member of learned Societies of India e.g. National Association of Geographers India (NAGI), Association of Geographers Bihar and Jharkhand (AGBJ) and INSC.
