Basic Information

Dr. C. Syamsundar obtained his M.E (Turbomachinery Specialization) from University College of Engineering, Osmania University (Gold Medalist), and PhD (Thermal Engineering Stream) from Indian Institute of Technology Madras, India. all in Mechanical Engineering. He has done extensive research work in the arca of Turbomachinery. Based on his research work, he was selected for a prestigious "Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) research exchange program" at Nagaoka University of Technology, Japan, in 2016. He has been teaching subjects related to thermal engineering to both UG and PG students for the past six years. He has more than 25 publications and two patents to his credit in Thermal Engineering, Cavitation, and Waste heat recovery.

He has received many awards, and a few awards in his credit are; "IEI Young Engineers Award 2020-21", from The Institution of Engineers (India); "SGSITS National Award for Best Research Work by Young Teachers of Engineering Colleges-2020, from the Indian Society for Technical Education. India; "Young Engineer of the Year Award 2019" from the Government of Telangana and The Institution of Engineers (India), Telangana State Centre, for his contribution in Engineering. He is a fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Institution of Engineers (India) and a life member of ISME, ISTE, IEEE, ISHMT, NSFMFP, FPS (India), The Combustion Institute (India), and the Society of Automotive Engineers- India.

The areas of interest are a) Thermal Engineering, b) Cativation in Hydroturbines, c) Numerical and Experimental Analysis in Turbomachinery and d) Instrumentation. He is also a reviewer of reputed journals in his field. He has travelled extensively around the globe, delivered his presentations at various conferences, and interacted with technical experts from all over the world.
