Dr. Urmila P. Dashwant currently working us Assistant Professor at Shivaji University, Kolhapur, did PhD with NET JRF on the topic "a study of the beneficiaries of Janani Suraksha Yojana of rural areas in Sangli district" and MSW with the distinction from Shivaji University, Kolhapur and DLL, and LW, Diploma in Human Rights. Qualified SET, NET (JRF), presented 20 plus research papers in various national and international conferences and seminars. She had completed a mini research project sponsored by STRIDE programme of Shivaji University, Kolhapur entitled, "A study on health awareness among women and its relation with Covid 19 effectiveness in Urban Slum families of Kolhapur". She had worked as conciliator in National Lok Adalat at Sangli court Sangli (MS) and master trainer in GPDP programme of Maharashtra. Government. Awarded "Dr. Puroshattam Khutale Samajseva Purskar"-Stood 1st in the Shivaji University, Kolhapur at MSW-II year in 2010-2011. Awarded Merit scholarship-Stood 1st in the MSW-Ist year 2010. Awarded UGC NET JRF (two times) at December 2013 and June 2014 in Social Work.
