PPPCL, Deoria was incorporated on 30 October 2015 under the Indian Company Act, 2013 with the promotional support of PRODUCE FUND of NABARD. The framework of the producer company was conceptualized by Er. Rajesh Yadav, then DDM, NABARD, Deoria and Kushinagar to address the inefficiency and ineffectiveness of poultry value chains and enable business participation of the poultry producer's as a key value chain actor in prevailing value chains for enhancement of the producers income. PPPCL started business operations during the year 2016-17 by modification of prevailing allied agri-value Chains and entered as a poultry feed processor value chain actor. PPPCL had remarkable business performance of Rs.3.25 crore in a first year itself and paid corporate tax of 5.25 lakh. Second year onward The company faces tremendous competition in terms of a change in credit mechanism from existing private poultry feed processing units. To maintain the pace of business operations and competitiveness, PPPCL has diversified its business plan based on value chain mapping, value chain analysis and identification of new business opportunities by convergence of multiple value chains. Apart from poultry value chain actors, PPPCL also participates in multiple value chains, i.e. aggregation & collective marketing of wheat; aggregation, processing & collective marketing of paddy; production, processing, storage & collective marketing of seeds, aggregation & collective marketing of maize; and aggregation, processing & collective marketing of mustard oil. During the last 9 years of business operation, PPPCL operations are continuously in profit and annual turnover is fluctuating between Rs.2.18 crore and Rs.5.58 crore. Presently, the producer's membership of the FPO is 763 with a net present worth of FPO of Rs.100.67 Lakh and book value of share has been enhanced to Rs. 61.89 per share against the nominal value of Rs.10 per share in the ended FY23. The PPPCL awarded by several State and National level Institutes is "Best FPO in State of Uttar Pradesh" by the Honorable Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. Supporting value chain actors of PPPCL are NABARD, IDBI, DCCB, SAMUNNATI, SBI and The Government of Uttar Pradesh.
