Vanitha Bedkekar belongs to Bangalore and has an passion  for  translation .She holds a Masters  degree in  Hindi , English, Translation studies  and  Bachelors degree in education (B.Ed).She has a diploma in forensic sciences. She is keen in pursuing her Doctoral Degree. Her main aim is to explore the rich culture of  India and specifically Bastar region , as she spent 12 long years in the region. She is inspired by the rich culture, forests , music , dance , handicrafts , history and much more of  Bastar region. Since  most people are not aware of these areas and its importance , She has translated and published her first book , Bastar Bhushan from Hindi to English.  Bastar Bhushan was written in Hindi by Pandit  Kedarnath Thakur in 1908. She would be undertaking more such translation of books.
