The Author VINITA RAJ LAKSHMI is an Art Historian, Writer & Television Journalist who now lives in Mumbai.She was born and brought up in Jamshedpur, a cosmopolitan town in Jharkhand, founded by J.N. Tata. Graduated in Chemistry from Daulat Ram College, North Campus, University of Delhi. Completed Post-Graduate Diploma in Advance Television Production & Journalism from YMCA, New Delhi. Worked as a Television Journalist for 5 years, produced a number of shows for a Programming Channel & news stories for an English News channel. Awarded Master’s degree with distinction in History of Art from National Museum Institute, New Delhi. Is enthused by Temple Architecture forms & Iconographical Study of the Sculptures; Photo documentation of Historical Sites & ruins; has published her research work as a book to spread awareness about this unique but little known cultural heritage site in West Bengal. Is concerned about conserving & preserving the natural and cultural heritage of the country for the future generations. Beach person loves to swim, visit museums & galleries, Art Connoisseur & Curator, flair for interior decoration, pottery & crafts, a plant-parent devoted to gardening.
