Dr. Vishnu Agarwal is currently serving as Associate Professor in the Department of Biotechnology, Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. He received his Ph.D from IIT Roorkee, India. He completed his Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) from Allahabad University and Master of Science (M. Sc.) in Biotechnology from Himachal Pradesh University. His academic achievements includes more than 50 reputed publications in reputed journals. He is expert in the field of microbiology and infection research particularly in the area of biofilm and quorum sensing. He has numerous academic achievements that include International travel award for YoungChem2006, for Pultusk, Poland, Infectious Disease (ID) Fellow Grant-2007 by American Society for microbiology (ASM), Young investigator grant awards by Department of Science and Technology (DST) and Department of Biotechnology (DBT). He acted as the Member, Scientific Panel on Biohazard to fssai, Govt. of India, Scientific expert for Ministry of Education, University and Research, MUIR, Italy, member. He has visitedseveral countries to deliver lecture(s) and provide his valuable assistance in research related works. He has vast experience of mentoring UG, PG and PhD students. He has filed several patents, has many book chapters and books to his credit. He has a well-established research laboratory with grants from DST, SERB, DBT, and ICMR industries. Findings of his group are important landmark in the field of quorum sensing and host pathogen interaction.
