Many books are available in nowadays, but only few books covers all the information regarding vegetables. In this point of view, we had tried to cover every aspect in chapter wise and prepared this book which covers all the aspects from basics of the crop to gene level of a crop which is most useful for competitive exams to secure a good score and good rank in entrance exams like JRF, SRF, NET or any other entrance examinations for M.Sc. or Ph.D. entrances. Some special chapters have been prepared for easy understanding and comparison with other crops which not usually covered by other books. 

We hope that this book will helpful for U.G., P.G. and Ph.D horticulture students across the India.
