I am pleased to present this edition mainly to research students of plasma physics. This book will also serve the interest of undergraduate and post-graduate students who would take plasma physics as one of their subjects of study.
Plasma physics is a relatively new and fast growing branch of physics. Industrial applications of plasma science and technology are now rapidly expanding into diverse areas such as high efficiency lighting, microelectronics, nano-science, polymer and textile processing, packaging, bioscience and medicine. All these will require a large number of engineers and scientists in plasma physics. Nowadays most of the universities have introduced plasma physics as a part of the curriculum.
In this book I hoped that I will able to meet up the requirement of those who want to know more about the existence of the solitary wave and the double layer formed in magnetized plasma and this book will give one the explicit idea about the analysis process of the stability of the solitary wave and the double layer formed in magnetized plasma. However, any constructive criticism and suggestions for improvement of the book will always be appreciated.
