I am delighted to welcome all the participants of Conference “Green Highway Construction- a Sustainable Approach”. A virtual event organized by National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal in association with The Institution of Engineers (India).  The Conference focused on sustainable green construction and their applications.

The conference is organized around six themes, viz, Geotechnical challenges in Road Construction, Soil Improvement, and Ground Stabilization & its Effects on Contamination, Monitoring Air & Noise pollution, Mitigative Measures for Air & Noise Pollution, Design & Construction Methods of Green Highways, Road Safery & Traffic Mitigation for Sustainable Highways.  We have tried to bring key note lectures covering the above topics and more.
