Any human activity has a definite impact on the environment. Climate change, global warming, water pollution are the main current concerns and challenges for mankind. Each one of environmental issues, require the application of chemical principles like- fission and fusion as energy sources, carbon dioxide and greenhouse effect, automobile emission control, acid rain, eutrophication, heavy metal problem, pesticide problem etc.

Nowadays many new advanced and scientific researches in the field of chemistry are developed to invent more environment friendly and sustainable applications and equipment like- Green Chemistry, Green Fuels, Clean energy, Green solvents etc.

Thus, it is duty of all of us to be aware of the critical importance of a healthy environment. I have tried to present a concise book strictly as per the requirement of environmental chemistry/ studies/ science students.
