It is observed that all higher secondary students specially science students are suffering from academic stress due to entrance examination, parents high expectation for studying technical and professional education which affects the achievement of the students.. So the authors had made an attempt to conduct this research & to publish this book on effect of academic stress on achievement of students at higher secondary level. The authors also tried to suggest remedial measures for the students, teachers, parents, intellectual, carrier & counselling centres to put in place of all those mechanism that can reduce stress.

About organization of this book, it has been divided into five distinctive chapters.  Chapter one deals with concept, types, component, symptoms, causes, effects of stress & Academic stress in relation to achievement of students at higher secondary level. Moreover this part also deals with objectives, hypotheses,& delimitation of the study. Chapter two give an account of the review o related literature. Chapter three cover design of the study. Chapter four is based on analysis & interpretation of data. Chapter five deals with major findings, summary & conclusion. An honest attempt has been made to provide simple and comprehensive facts & findings.
