A transformation of the world order has occurred in the decade between the global financial crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic.  It is before our eyes that the very essence of international relations and its rules have been shifting. This implies that India’s to advance its objectives better with optimum relationships with all the major powers.  A bolder and non-reciprocal approach to its neighbourhood is also needed.  There is now a global footprint in the making that leverages Indias greater potential and importance, as well as its unique diaspora.
