A nation is rich when it is blessed with resources. India is blessed with youth, power and potential of youth can turn our nation to accomplish all it could ever want.

As I began to think about Nation, I have realized that we have all the resources we need whether it is a people, talent, natural or bounty. Scarcity is not our problem...Our attitude or approach to handle them created intricate situation for us. , I was wondering if I could address youth about the most challenging issue of the nation- river water quality as it deteriorated at a rapid pace and we have to understand that we need to save our rivers from pollution.

Rivers are the backbone of human civilization! And the story of the stream of flowing water reveals the history of humankind and God’s continual presence to nourish his creation.

We all know that India is a perfectly blessed when water sources come into question which is available in the form of numerous rivers and lakes. It has 14 major, 55 minor and numerous small rivers. India is often referred as the “Land of Rivers”. In fact riverbanks first hosted human civilizations in India as elsewhere in the world.

Rivers in India play important social, economic and spiritual roles. This is the reason why Indians worship rivers as goddesses. They consider rivers to be sacred, take holy dip during Amavasya (New moon), Pooranmasi (Full moon) and on other religious occasions.

River water is used for irrigation which in return gives food to the people. They also maintain the ecology of the region and bring prosperity. An area without a river is considered to be poor. Unfortunately, every nation has struggle to achieve its goals so as we are facing deterioration in the quality of the river water.

One of the major reasons for this is the untreated waste water being released to the rivers, turning them to be a dirty drain. Thousands of cores of rupees are being pumped to save the rivers through various plans.

Most often people don’t realize the impact that rivers have on the living world, what if the rivers dry up some day? It’s scary to even think of it. May be only then we will realize their importance. As rivers are the only source of fresh drinking water hence, if we don’t have a good amount of it, life on earth will come to an end. Rivers are not only important for human beings but also serves a great purpose to the animals and trees as well. We need to stop water pollution & river pollution.

The present book is a small initiative towards creating awareness amongst the society about the importance of rivers and how the society is affected if they are not properly managed. I hope that young mind will be ignited & feel connected with the burning issue of the nation. A drop of water is worth more than a sack of gold to a thirsty man. We have to understand that we need to save our rivers from pollution

I have tried to communicate through this book with the society and I m sure this will create an impact on the minds of people which in turn would find solutions to this monstrous problem.

Here I would like to address youth to operate in a mission mode with a vision for the Nation .

So as an educational innovator I thought to utilize nation’s tremendous energies “YOUTH”. I am writing this book to make my young leaders to work upon the resources and turn them into prosperity for human Civilization.
