The present book has written especially for the research and post graduate students working in the area of chalcone chemistry. Chalcones are of a high interest due to their use as starting materials in the synthesis of a series of various heterocyclic compounds. Hence, the synthesis of chalcones has generated vast interest to organic as well as for medicinal chemists. Keeping this in mind, I have undertaken the compilation of different methods of chalcones synthesis from reputed research articles. The book consists of main seven topics including Introduction, Literature Survey, Methods of Chalcone Synthesis, Mechanism of Formation of Chalcone, Spectral Discussion, Experimental Procedure and Antimicrobial activity. This book has demonstrated the various methods of synthesis of chalcones with specified example. I hope this book will help many researchers who are working in the area of flavoind chemistry as well as chalcones based synthesis of various heterocycles.
