Electrochemistry is an important tool of Physical chemistry that deals with the relationship between electrical energy and chemical change. Electrochemistry is gaining momentum as it helps in fulfilling our daily energy needs. Electrolysis has been used for dissociating water into hydrogen and oxygen. Electroplating has also been proved useful. Germanium and silicon are altered chemically to get perfect electronic transistor which are responsible for the reduction in the size and complexity of tiny circuits for millions of electronic devices.

Electrochemistry is very important for our future to allow us to store energy properly and completely. Everyday too much energy is wasted, as excess of power generated can’t be stored. 

In the present book, the concepts have been explained with the help of figures, examples and illustrated with solved problems on each topic.
