The main aim of publishing this book is to spread the knowledge attained by the undersigned amongst the researchers and budding entomologist. There are manifold purposes of writing this book on the subject. Basically, it caters to the needs of the scholars and for the beginners to understand the intricacies of the subject.
Entomology is one of the prominent branch of agriculture has assumed new dimension in last few decades with respect to its different disciplines. Braconidae is the most important family of the order Hymenoptera, which is extensively used in the biological control programmes against economically important pest belonging to the order like Lepidoptera, Coleoptera, Hymenoptera, Diptera, Neuroptera, Psocoptera and Hemiptera. Braconids are mostly larval parasitoids, some are egg parasitoids and few are pupal parasitoids.
Many publications have come into existence on the Braconids, attempts has been made to incorporate the missing links and prepare a compact source of readily available and uptodate information in a simple and lucid form which will be useful for new comers and emerging entomologist. However I should consider my effort well rewarded if the book serves the needs of all concerned.
The book is user-friendly and provides information in a well structured manner. It provides comprehensive and critical study of the various concepts of the subject matter. It is felt that the contents should be crystal clear.
It is my great pleasure to express my sincere thanks to Iterative International Publishers, Maharashtra who spared too much pains in their efforts to produce this book of real quality within a short time.
With best wishes,
