Skill enhancement has been on the top agenda in recent few years especially among the young adult workforce in India..Skill building incorporates soft skills and employable skills in order to meet the global challenges of the 21st century. The international labour organization has promoted decent employment opportunities among the unorganized sector in India. UNESCO has globally started advancing on recognition of prior learning (RPL to provide unorganized sector better opportunities to work. In India national commission for enterprises in the unorganized sector has been working on this issue since a long phase in aneed to promote potential and productivity of the workforce available in the unorganized sector in urban and rural setup. Initial skilling, reskilling and upskilling all are the need of the hour to make economy vibrant and competitive. It is inevitable to improve RPL and the present book on the topic is highly useful for the professionals, students and scholars in the field.
