The edited book, “Intelligent Transport Management: Issues and Challenges” is an outcome of the International Conference on Intelligent Infrastructure in Transportation And Management (i-TRAM 2021), 10-11 July 2021 is jointly organised by IITRAM and Student Start-up & Innovation Policy (SSIP), an initiative of Government of Gujarat.

The chapters aim to present the technological forum to discuss the most recent innovations, trends, cutting edge solutions, design, technology, manufacturing, recommendations, socio-economic and policy issues. These chapters cover wide range of areas to integrate advanced technologies and expertise to provide best and innovative services in the field of Intelligent Transportation Infrastructure.

In the first part, book discusses about recent advancement in the field of transportation sectors which includes public transport system, traffic flow, aviation, non-motorised transportation system. The chapters also covers latest issues on COVID-19 and its impact on transport systems. On the other phase of transport: the pavement related studies also included which gives more insight toward pavement construction and latest technologies to evaluate the performance over the period.

In the second part of the book looking at the global electric and hybrid vehicles demand, book focuses on the recent developments in electric mobility and satellite communication infrastructure. The chapters try to feature new design for electrical vehicles and supported systems like batteries and EV charging station and it’ energy management. 

In the current scenario of global positioning systems and remote sensing technologies find a wide application in the field of transport infrastructure and smart cities which also discusses in the last section of the book.

Overall the chapters of the book provide the new avenues and bring interesting facts to understand the problems and provide unique solutions for Intelligent Infrastructure in Transportation and Management.
